Food was excellent and the prices are good too! The kabobs and qabuli and mantu were great!

I had a family gathering today and ordered catering from Dunya Banquet Restaurant. The food was truly amazing--delicious, with excellent service, and more than enough in terms of quantity. First Time! Just ordered and picked up the K1 Chicken Breast Kabob. It is AMAZING and AUTHENTIC! I definitely will return and thank you for the soup! Tašakor

Dunya Restaurant and Banquet has been around for a long time, they recently relocated to Lorton. I recently met up with a friend for an early dinner at their new location. We ordered the K8. Deluxe kabob which includes boneless chicken kabob, beef and lamb kabob and subbed the plain rice with kabuli rice (carrot and raisin topped). The order came with two sides of chickpeas and spinach. We also ordered the mantu which was delicious. They served us with a complimentary chicken noodle soup which was pretty yum. My favourite were the mantu, rice and the two sides. The accompanying mint and white gyro sauce is very delicious to dip your food in. The shami kabob was good but the chicken and lamb kabob were a little on the dry side. The service is very quick and its a casual eatery with no fuss but the food is delicious. They also had a bunch of afghan sweetmeats in the display that looked tempting. Will come back for the kabuli pulao and a different combo of kabobs next time. Dunya kabob is a must try when in the area.

Wow! What a great little find in Lorton, Va! Had dinner last night and the for all of us trying to eat healthy I can attest that the chicken breast kabob is about as tender and moist as any other kabob you can find. The Nan was tasty and baked just right. Also, we got the Qabli Palou, and that was also good. Although I didn't know that there would be meat inside the rice, so be ready. It's a small strip mall restaurant so very causal. Overall good experience and the most important part, I'll be going back!

I enjoyed my experience at Dunya. I ordered the Deluxe Combo, with Lamb, and Chicken and it did not disappoint. The portion was enormous for the price. The meat was flavorful and well seasoned. You pair the delicious protein will fresh pita, chickpeas spinach and veggies, and it's a perfect combination. I had enough food to box up and eat for lunch the following day. The service was fantastic. The staff was quick and clean and respectful. The tea was also a perfect way to close out the meal. Definitely will be making a return if I'm in the area.

They used to be full service restaurant in Springfield but moved to smaller place in Lorton. Food is still amazing true afghan flavor. Place is nice, service is friendly and fast. Bone in chicken kabobs are amazing.

Excellent food and service. My wife and I both had Palau with afghan bread. A steady stream of takeout customers cycled through while we are. We'll be here again.
